A strong essay needs a clear thesis, logical structure and credible evidence. Assignment Byte's writers craft original essays, research papers and reports that argue a point well and read professionally.
Whatever the discipline or citation style, we deliver plagiarism-free writing tailored to your brief, word count and marking criteria.
Every assignment ships with a similarity report and an AI-writing indicator read, so you can see exactly what a marker would see before you submit — not after.
Assignment Byte is an independent academic support service, not Turnitin, iThenticate or any university's own integrity office, and we do not control how a receiving institution reads either report. Read more on how similarity checks work, what an AI-writing indicator actually measures, and your institution's academic integrity policy before you submit anything.
The most common reason a well-written essay scores badly is that it answers an adjacent question. Command words are precise: 'evaluate' requires a judgement supported by criteria, 'discuss' requires competing positions, 'analyse' requires breaking something into parts and showing how they relate. Writing a description in response to any of the three caps the mark.
The thesis belongs in the introduction, stated plainly. Essays that withhold their position until the conclusion read as summaries, and markers working through a pile of scripts should not have to hunt for the argument.
Every paragraph should be testable against the question. If you cannot say in one sentence how a paragraph advances your answer, it is background and probably belongs in a shorter form or not at all.
Critical writing is not negative writing. It means weighing evidence, acknowledging the strongest version of the opposing view and explaining why your position survives it. An essay that only presents supporting evidence reads as advocacy and sits in the middle bands.
Sources should be used, not listed. Three sources genuinely interrogated — where they disagree, why, and which is better supported — outscore fifteen cited once each in passing.
Quotations need to earn their place. A quotation that restates what you have already said in your own words adds nothing; one that captures a distinctive formulation you then analyse does real work.
Long paragraphs that cover three ideas are hard to mark generously. One idea per paragraph, with a topic sentence that states it, lets a marker see the structure of your argument at a glance — which is exactly what the structure criterion rewards.
Signposting should be light. A sentence at the end of the introduction saying what the essay does is useful; repeating the roadmap at every section boundary wastes word count.
